The procedure of opening an account with the Singaporean PSP
You can open an account with the Singaporean PSP remotely. In order to do that, you have to supply the required application documents and go through the due diligence procedures.
The set of the application documents includes the following ones:
- A personal ID (passport);
- A proof of residential address (a recent utility bill will serve the purpose well enough);
- Documents confirming the legality of the sources of capital;
- Other documents on the Compliance Department’s request.
Please note that the Singaporean payment system follows the KYC and AML requirements and its Compliance Department will conduct due diligence checks when you supply the documents. If the results of the checks are positive, the payment system will take you onboard and open an account for you. If the results are negative, services will be denied to you.
